I’m a human being living in Barcelona.
I’m an artist and programmer based in Barcelona. I help build the software at Lighter, and occasionally make some haikus.
I have a diverse background as an artist, designer, and software developer. In the past I’ve worked with Common Name, Radish Lab, PopTech, and On Being (to name a few). I was a co-founder of The Notion Collective in NYC.
I’ve also taught at Rutgers University, Parsons School of Design, and MCAD.
Some recent projects I’m happy with: Yesterday’s News, which originally started as exhibition piece but morphed into a website; Tender Buttons, an homage to Gertrude Stein’s book of the same name. Both of these projects reminded me of how much I love Markov text generators in their more basic (non-LLM) form.
Some books I’ve read recently(-ish) that I’ve enjoyed: The Employees: a workplace novel of the 22nd century, The Vorrh, and the The Making of the Atomic Bomb. I was impressed with how well Atomic Bomb captured both the excitement of scientific discovery and the horror of the Hiroshima/Nagasaki bombings in the same telling.
